Surrounded by the beautiful Tasmanian State Forest, bush rides are located at Woodsdale, 1 hour from Hobart, 15 minutes from the East Coast Highway (turn off at Buckland) and 2 hours from Launceston. All of our rides suit Beginners to Advanced experience level and include a free lesson prior to departure. The length of ride is the time on the trail. Your Guides are certified by Horse Safety Australia, have many years experience and will ensure you have a fantastic time.
What to wear and bring
Please wear long pants, sunscreen and bring a small drink bottle, snack, camera if you wish and waterproof front Zip Jacket. In cold weather a thin beanie to wear under the helmet is a good if your a “coldie”!

Bluff River Gorge
A lovely bush ride with plenty of trot and canter spots and views of incredible sandstone caves and cliffs.

2 hours basic ride passing glimpses of the Three Thumbs Mountains. Check out the Lions face on this massive rock and guess what’s etched into the back!

Bush Rangers Track
A challenging hill climb with amazing views plus trot and canter opportunities.

View of the Thumbs –
This 1 hour Bush ride is perfect for those who have limited time and/or are less riding fit. You can still experience the majestic Tassie State Forest, birds calling, wallabies darting across the track and a view across to the Three Thumbs State Reserve near Orford.
- 1 hour ride, From $99 pp x 4 ppl, $120 pp x 3 ppl, $150 pp x 2 ppl, $175 x 1 person
